Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Atletico Madrid have seen both teams score in two of their last three fixtures, while they have netted in five successive outings. They take on a Real Madrid who have seen both teams score in two of their last three on the road, as well as their last three games – each of them on home soil.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid Predictions

  • Atletico have netted in their last five games
  • Both teams have scored in three successive Real Madrid fixtures
  • Los Blancos have found the target in each of their nine matches this season

Can Atleti beat their bitter rivals?

This is one of the games that football fans around the globe tune in to watch, and given the respective form of both sides, it could be a real humdinger.

Atleti are unbeaten so far this season, picking up five wins in eight outings, while they have only failed to score in a surprise 0-0 draw at home to Espanyol.

That usually strong defence has kept five clean sheets this season too, but that record will be severely tested by Real Madrid.

And it will be a concern to Diego Simeone’s side that two of their last three outings have seen both teams score, a 2-1 win over RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League and 1-1 draw at Rayo Vallecano domestically.

Real looking for bragging rights

The visitors will attempt to test that sturdy backline, and given they have scored 21 goals across eight outings this season, netting in every single match, they may be hard to stop.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have their own problems at the other end though, with their last three games seeing both teams score, courtesy of 3-1, 4-1 and 3-2 wins over Stuttgart, Espanyol and Alaves.

This is actually only their fourth away fixture of the campaign, and two of those have seen both teams score as well, a pair of 1-1 stalemates against Mallorca and Las Palmas.

I predict that both teams will score in this game, and I expect it to be a close contest, so 1-1 is my correct score prediction.
