Liverpool can pass Bilbao test

Liverpool come up against Athletic Bilbao in a pre-season friendly on Sunday and we feel the Premier League side should be able to pick up a win.

With the new season just around the corner and another friendly to come against Osasuna on Monday it remains to be seen what side the Reds will put out, but they have three wins in as many games at Anfield in pre-season and that suggests a home win could be on the cards here.

Bilbao have had mixed results over the summer with two wins and two draws.  This fixture looks to be their toughest assignment so far, although they have beaten Germany’s Borussia Dortmund in pre-season, and the La Liga club are likely to field a strong team as they gear up for the start of the new Spanish season.

However, we’re still expecting a win for the hosts and as Liverpool have managed to keep clean sheets in all three of their home pre-season games so far we feel a 2-0 win for the Reds has a chance in the correct score market.
