Haaland has now scored 25 goals in 20 Champions League appearances, the most by any player in their first 20 games in the competition. That incredible record came in part thanks to the fact he found the net 15 in 13 games with Borussia Dortmund in Europe’s top-tier competition.

Haaland is out to become just the second player – after Ciro Immobile – to both score a Champions League goal for and against Dortmund. With nine goals in his last four games for City, he’s likely to grab more than one.

Citizens to cruise to win

The hosts haven’t needed Haaland to do damage against German sides in the past. City have won their last eight home games against German sides in the Champions League by an impressive aggregate score of 30-9 – that’s just shy of four goals per game.

They hit Sevilla for four a week ago, meaning they’ve now scored 22 goals across their last six games, conceding six times in that run. The Citizens have seen over 3.5 goals land in five of those six, while last season’s group stage saw Dortmund lost 4-0 and 3-1 to Ajax before a 3-1 defeat at Sporting. Back another high-scoring clash, with over 3.5 goals the best option.

Manchester City are unbeaten in their last 20 Champions League home games, winning 18 and drawing two. Meanwhile, Dortmund have lost 10 of their 17 away trips in this competition, so City should rack up a big victory. Back them to follow up their high-scoring form with a 4-1 victory.
