The Republic of Ireland overcame Israel 3-0 as the designated away side in Hungary last week and can back that victory up with another win when the two teams meet in a behind-closed-doors clash in Serbia.

Israel have endured a miserable Nations League campaign so far with just one point to show from three games, and they were arguably lucky to get anything from their 0-0 draw with Kosovo.

Ireland kicked off with a disappointing defeat in Kosovo but have responded in style. Heimir Hallgrimsson’s side were thoroughly dominant against Israel in the first meeting and came close to seeing off a strong Austria side, but were pegged back and had to settle for a point after taking a 2-0 lead.
