Sporting have hit form this winter

Sporting spanked Maritimo 5-0 in the Taca da Liga only a few weeks ago and should have far too much for the troubled islanders when they travel to Funchal on Sunday.

Ruben Amorim’s side found their best form in December, winning all four games and can carry that on into 2023 as long as they don’t sell too many players in the January window.

Injuries mount for Maritimo

Maritimo could go under by a few goals again here as reports suggest they will be without some regular starters, such as midfielder Diogo Mendes, striker Pablo Moreno and centre-back Zainadine Júnior, who have played between seven and 13 of their league games this term.

All the evidence points to this being one-way traffic and a lumpt bet on Sporting seems appropriate give their superior quality and form. They rarely win 1-0 as well, so an odds boost about them scoring at least twice in Madeira is worth adding in. A 3-0 correct score play is preferred because of Maritimo’s struggles of late and injuries.
