After flirting with relegation for much of last season, Neil Harris steered Millwall to a more than respectable 13th place last season and the Lions can start their 2024/25 campaign in similar fashion with victory over Watford.

The Lions won each of their final five matches last season, four of which to nil, and Neil Harris has only lost three of his 13 competitive matches in his third spell at the club.

Watford largely disappointed as they finished 15th last season and they ended the campaign in poor form on the road, failing to win any of their final four away league matches.

The Lions have a way of grinding out victories at the Den and another low-scoring victory could be in store for the hosts. Six of the eight wins under Harris last season finished 1-0 and a repeat of this scoreline looks a tempting bet.
