Tip Reasoning

  • Millwall have drawn seven of their 11 Championship home matches this season.
  • Watford have won just three of their dozen away starts, drawing five.
  • Both teams have scored in their last five league outings.

Watford Too Sketchy on the Road to Trust

Watford secured a perfect three wins from three last week to strengthen their automatic promotion credentials, but the Hornet’s run could well be ended this Tuesday by a Millwall side who have drawn seven of their 11 starts at the New Den this term.

New boss Xisco has had an immediate impact since his arrival at Vicarage Road and wins over Huddersfield Town (2-0), Barnsley (1-0) and Stoke (1-2) since 16th January have lifted the Hornets up to third in the Championship table, where they sit level on points with second placed Swansea and seven behind leaders Norwich.

Watford are temptingly priced as a result this Tuesday when they take on a Millwall outfit who have won just once at home this season, although the visitors’ away record of three wins from 12 is rather off-putting.

Xisco may well turn Watford around on the road, but overall, they simply haven’t reached the same standards on their travels as they have at Vicarage Road.

With Millwall drawing seven from 11 at the New Den and returning to winning ways in the league with a 0-1 success at Huddersfield Town on Wednesday, Gary Rowett’s men could well pinch a point in this one despite their FA Cup loss to Bristol City at the weekend. Watford’s five away draws from 12 this term also points to this one ending all square.

With a stalemate forecasted and both teams hitting the net in their last five league outings, we’re also going for a 1-1 draw in the correct score market.
