Minnesota United vs San Jose Earthquakes Predictions
- Minnesota United have won their last three home games – all without conceding.
- San Jose Earthquakes have not scored in their last three away games (Drawn one, lost two)
- The Quakes have scored just two goals in the last 633 minutes of MLS action.
Loons look value for win to nil bet
Minnesota United are heading in the right direction again after a sticky start to the 2021 season and can keep their form going against a woeful San Jose Earthquakes side on Sunday.
The Loons have finished fourth in the Western Conference the past two seasons but found themselves looking up at the rest after beginning with four straight defeats.
Adrian Heath’s side have pulled themselves together now and are six unbeaten with three straight home wins coming into this.
All of those victories were accompanied by clean sheets and the Loons’ defence has been the bedrock of their recent rise, which has seen them concede only two in the last six.
It is hard to envisage the Goonies giving them a scare after a dismal scoring trot that includes a spell of producing two goals in their last seven matches.
A fifth Wooden Spoon could be on its way to PayPal Park unless Matias Almeyda’s men turn things around soon, but there has been little recent evidence of a revival.
A goal from 17-year-old Cade Cowell was all they had to show from a 3-1 home defeat to LA Galaxy last time out and time is running out for Almeyda.
We are taking the Loons to win to nil here and backing a 1-0 correct score prediction because Heath’s side have only scored more than once on two occasions so far this term.
