Monaco lead Ligue 1 after three thrilling games in which goals never appear to be far away, and they probably won’t again this weekend when they face winless Lens.

Adi Hutter’s side could be the entertainers of the division after scoring ten goals and conceding five in their first three fixtures, recently coming back from 3-1 down to claim a draw at Nantes.

Wissam Ben Yedder looks to be in cracking form, picking up just where he left last season, and has already bagged four goals — making him a must-back option in anytime goalscorer markets.

Lens’ defending will be under the microscope

Ben Yedder, and Takumi Minamino, will test Lens’ shaky defence with their intelligent link-up play. Les Sang et Or have taken only one point so far — from a 1-1 home draw against Rennes — and lost both of their road trips 3-1 to Brest and PSG.

The losses of Lois Openda and Seko Fofana in the summer have left gaping holes in Lens’ line-up, which they have been trying to fill late in the transfer window. Players are still arriving at the club and it will take time for them to bed in and get up to speed.
