Monaco vs Nancy Predictions

Second placed Monaco will be intent on reducing Nice’s six point advantage at the top of Ligue 1 when they entertain second bottom Nancy at Stade Louis II on Saturday afternoon.

Leonardo Jardim’s side boast a near perfect domestic home record having notched 13 points from a possible 15 so far this season, and fresh from a midweek 3-0 thumping of CSKA in the Champions League, there is surely only one result on the cards when Nancy come to town on match day 12.

And should Monaco land their eighth Ligue 1 victory of the campaign, the gap to Nice would temporarily reduce to three points with the leaders taking to the field on Sunday against Caen.

Interestingly, Nancy have conceded just 13 goals in their 11 Ligue 1 matches despite languishing in 19th, but Pablo Correa’s men look destined to be exposed against an attack that has already netted 30 times domestically at a rate of nearly three goals per game.

Monaco smashed six past Montpellier in their last home league outing and providing an early goal can be found on Saturday, Jardim’s men can surely look forward to bagging another hat full against a team whose resolve must be dwindling on the back of their six league defeats thus far.

The visitors do at least come into this clash on the back of a victory as they saw off Caen 2-0 last weekend – a result that followed a 4-2 success against the same opposition in the Coupe De La Ligue.

But Les Chardons have an atrocious goal scoring record overall so far this term, having found the net just seven times and it’s difficult to envisage their forwards finding much joy up against talented international defenders such as Jemerson and Kamil Glik.

The 8/15 on offer for Monaco is more than fair here but with the hosts strongly fancied to coast this one, we’re more interested in the 13/10 about Jardim’s side covering a one goal handicap.

Radamel Falcao bagged a brace in Monaco’s midweek win against CSKA and should be seriously considered to score anytime at 5/4, whilst 9/1 looks too big for a resounding 3-0 triumph.
