Monaco vs Troyes Predictions

• The last three meetings to take place at Stade Louis II have seen Monaco win and both teams score.

Monaco will be confident

Monaco caused somewhat of a shock last time out when they travelled to Paris Saint-Germain and became the first side this season to take points from them as they held them to a 1-1 draw. They were excellent at keeping the pressure on the league-leaders and boss Philippe Clement wants that to be the standard as opposed to a one-off performance. They’ll be full of confidence and will carry that belief into this match at home to Troyes.

The Troyes boss got the perfect response to those questioning whether he is under pressure as his side ran out 3-1 winners at home to Angers last weekend. That result saw them put their first points on the board but Monaco will pose a lot more threat. This will be the first of three consecutive matches against clubs that finished seventh or higher last term and it will be interesting to see if he will still be in charge should Troyes struggle in those fixtures.

Hosts to edge close encounter

The visitors will be pleased that they’ve secured their first win, but it seems highly unlikely that they will secure the points here as well. Monaco have their tails up and whilst we expect both teams to score, we fancy the hosts to emerge victorious.
