Roma could be further frustrated by mid-table Monza

Roma are at risk of slipping out of the European places in Serie A this season and they could endure another setback on the road to Monza.

Jose Mourinho’s men have a Europa League semi-final tie with Bayer Leverkusen just over the horizon but their involvement in continental competition seems to have had a knock-on effect on their league form.

Since pummeling Feyenoord 4-1 in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals, Roma lost to Atalanta and drew with Milan and they are in danger of dropping out of the top six.

Injuries also continue to be a problem for Mourinho’s side, who saw defender Marash Kumbulla taken off against Milan with injury last time out, and they are worth taking on against Monza.

Locked in mid-table obscurity, Monza do not have a lot to play for in Serie A this season but that has given them a sense of freedom in their remaining games.

They have won each of their last three league matches against Inter Milan, Fiorentina and Spezia and are worth selecting in the draw no bet market.
