Napoli to win high-scoring encounter

Monday’s Serie A clash between Napoli and Empoli at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium should have goals.

Napoli are second in Serie A, 16 places above Empoli, with the two sides separated by 41 points. The hosts have 19 wins, eight draws and four defeats from their 31 games this season, while Empoli have won just four times.

Napoli beat Milan 2-1 two weeks ago in their last home game and have won their last two on home turf. Empoli, on the other hand, have not won in 16 games.

The visitors have looked vulnerable in defence. Empoli have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 13 Serie A away games, which should mean chances for Antonio Conte’s outfit.

Napoli have been winners in five of their last seven home games and have won by two goals on five occasions this season. Empoli will pose some threat going forward, so a 3-1 win for Napoli is an appealing correct-score bet.
