Napoli vs Granada Predictions
- Napoli have won five of their last six home games in all competitions (D1) including a 1-0 victory over Juventus in their last outing at Stadio San Paolo.
- Granada are without a win in their last six away trips in La Liga, losing four.
- However, the Andalusians have managed to score in each of their last seven games on the road in all competitions.
Napoli to Fall Short in Victory
Napoli are formidable outfit at Stadio San Paolo and should win on the night when they face Granada this Thursday, although the Spaniards may just do enough to sneak through to the Last 16 following their 2-0 success in Andalusia last week.
A quickfire first half double from Yangel Herrera and Kenedy earned Diego Martinez’ side a deserved first leg cushion at Los Carmenes and the La Liga outfit will have been delighted to avoid conceding an away goal.
It gives them an excellent platform to progress when they travel to Naples this Thursday, where they know they’ll be in for a tough evening.
Napoli are in poor form overall with four defeats from their last five games in all competitions, although I Partenopei’s problems have yet to surface at their home ground. Gennaro Gattuso’s men have won five of their last six matches at Stadio San Paolo, so we can expect an improved showing from the Italians here against a Granada side that are without a win in their last six La Liga away trips (D2, L4).
Granada have managed to score though in each of their last seven games on the road in all competitions, so at the prices a home win and both teams to score looks a good bet for this Thursday’s action, while we’re also predicting a 3-1 correct score which will see the visitors edge themselves through to the next round on away goals.
