Napoli to see off inconsistent visitors

Napoli have won seven of their last nine home games in Serie A and they are the best bet to secure another victory when Parma visit Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Wednesday.

Napoli are 11 places above Parma in the table, with 18 points separating the two teams. Napoli are third having won 12, drawn three and lost four of their 19 games, while Parma are 14th with five wins, six draws and eight defeats.

Napoli have gone 19 home games unbeaten in Serie A and are currently on a run of just one defeat in their last eight league games. They have won seven of their last nine at home.

Parma’s recent form in Serie A has been up and down, with three wins, one draw and two defeats in their last six games. They beat Fiorentina 1-0 at odds of 9/4.

It would be no surprise to see Napoli find the net, having scored two or more goals in 11 of their 19 Serie A games this season. They have also averaged 1.78 goals a game in their nine matches against bottom-half teams.

The hosts are the most profitable home team in Serie A this season. Backing Napoli to a one-point level stake in all their home games would have shown a profit of 3.44 units.

A 2-0 win for Napoli looks the best correct-score bet. There have been under 2.5 goals in six of Parma’s last seven Serie A games and six of Napoli’s 12 wins this season have been by a two-goal margin.
