Napoli 2-1

Reason for tip

Napoli may have enough quality to inflict Parma’s first defeat of the season here. The newly-promoted club have fared well in both games but this is a tough away test. They remain capable of scoring, however, and can keep it close in a 2-1 defeat.

Dennis Man To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Dennis Man has scored in three of his last four games for Parma, including a pre-season friendly. The Romanian scored 11 league goals last season, but appears to be revelling in a central role at Parma.

Parma are playing well

Parma are tough to oppose right now and may be good enough to upset the odds when they face Napoli at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Saturday.

Fabio Pecchia’s side beat AC Milan 2-1 last weekend on the back of a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina to show that they once more belong in Serie A.

Both of those games were at Stadio Ennio Tardini and they will surely find things tougher on the road, but Napoli may be too short in the betting at around 1/2 for the three points this weekend.

Drama never far from the surface

The question of whether Victor Osimhen plays, or is even still at the club, remains open to debate but there can be no doubt that Napoli are weaker without him. Kvichka Kvaratskhelia weighed in with a goal and an assist in their 3-0 trouncing of Bologna last weekend and there was further good news for the home fans when captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo appeared to dispel talk that he wanted to leave.

Drama is never far from the surface at a club managed by Antonio Conte so there may be a few more twists and turns this season, but for now the direction of travel is positive for the Partonopei.

Both teams to score looks a better bet than backing the home side in this instance as it has landed in Parma’s last five league games and seven of Napoli’s last 10 Serie A home contests.
