PSG to regain winning domestic thread

Paris Saint-Germain were dominant 8-2 winners over Chelsea in the Champions League this week but their Ligue 1 title defence is proving a tougher test, with Lens just a point behind the reigning champions.

Luis Enrique’s men were beaten 3-1 by Monaco in their last domestic clash and were fortunate that Lens failed to capitalise on that by falling to their own defeat last weekend, which PSG were given off to aid their European exploits.

The Parisians should be able to get back to winning ways this weekend however as they visit Nice, who have had a very disappointing campaign by their standards.

The Eagles are currently 15th and it is only the poor performances of the bottom two that are keeping them out of a real relegation battle.

Nice struggling

Claude Puel’s men picked up a crucial win over fellow strugglers Angers last time out but look set to suffer their 14th defeat of the campaign as they host PSG.

Only bottom side Metz have conceded more than Nice’s 48 this term and their issues at the back could be their undoing once more.

They have failed to score in three of their last four games and could be blanked by the league leaders, take PSG to win this one to nil.

Nine of the visitors’ last ten matches have gone over 2.5 goals and a 3-0 win for Enrique’s men is the correct score pick.
