      Paphos to Win

      Reason for tip

Pafos are only three points above Slavia Prague in the Champions League table, but they should be able to record another win. Slavia Prague have yet to pick up a point or score a goal on the road in Europe and they will be short of confidence this week.

      Paphos 1-0

      Reason for tip

Pafos have only four goals to their name in Europe, but all of those goals have come in Cyprus. Slavia Prague have not really looked like scoring away from home and that trend should continue this week.

      Paphos vs Slavia Prague Predictions

      • Pafos still have slim hopes of qualifying for the play-offs
      • Slavia Prague are winless in seven games in the Champions League
      • Slavia Prague have yet to score a goal away from home in three attempts

Visitors to struggle once again on the road

A low-scoring affair is expected when Pafos welcome Slavia Prague to Alphamega Stadium for Wednesday’s Champions League encounter.

The Cypriot side may be playing at a neutral venue this week, but they should have no issues beating a Slavia Prague side that have struggled away from home.

Pafos have work to do to correct a recent dip in form, having lost three games in a row. That run includes a narrow 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and the Blues were left frustrated against weaker opposition.

Albert Celades’ side will now look for their second win in Europe this season during the League Phase and they should be too strong and fit for their opponents.

Slavia Prague have not played a league game since December and while they have featured in three friendlies and lost 4-2 to Barcelona, they should still struggle as the game progresses.

Jindrich Trpisovsky has seen his side go three games without scoring outside the Czech Republic and they should struggle to beat a Pafos side that have only lost one of their last eight matches in Cyprus.
