Lyon to win in the capital

Lyon are the bet away at Paris in Ligue 1 on Wednesday. Paulo Fonseca’s side travel to Stade Jean-Bouin and can get the win over Stephane Gilli’s hosts.

They are seven places above Paris in the table, with the two sides separated by eight points. Paris are 11th with three wins and five defeats, while Lyon are fourth with six wins and three losses.

Paris could not break their losing run last time out, ending up 2-1 losers to Nantes on Friday despite dominating the game with 67.5% possession. Paris’s Ilan Kebbal gave his side the lead in the 25th minute, but Jean-Philippe Krasso and Samir Chergui both scored for Nantes. It was a surprise defeat for Paris, who were priced at 4/6 to win.

The hosts look vulnerable at the back. Paris have conceded seven goals at home this season in Ligue 1 – an average of 1.75 goals per game from their four home games.

Lyon are in fine scoring form, having found the net in 24 of their last 25 league games. It’s been ten Ligue 1 games since they last failed to score.

Their 2-1 away win looks the best correct-score option. Five of Lyon’s six Ligue 1 victories this season have been by one goal and Paris lost 2-1 to Nantes in their last league game.
