Defensive troubles haunt both

A win over Genoa on Monday night was a real boost for Parma. Hosting Benevento this weekend allows them an opportunity to put together a good run of form.

However, Parma still conceded a goal in that victory. The hosts have now kept only two clean sheets in their last 23 matches in the league. Given that they’re conceding 1.89 goals per game, the hosts are vulnerable here.

Benevento have scored 12 times in their first nine matches back in Serie A, hitting 1.75 per game on the road. Last weekend saw them hold Juventus to a 1-1 draw, so it’s hard to have confidence in a Parma side who have won twice in nine.

Given that Benevento have scored in each of their away trips this season, we’re backing them to find the net here. However, only Torino have conceded more than Benevento’s 21 goals.
