Partick vs Kilmarnock Predictions

Partick looked in dire straits just a week or two ago when their 1-0 loss to Celtic extended their winless streak to seven matches in the Scottish Premiership. However, a festive 3-1 win at Ross County ended this streak and they followed that with a 2-0 win over Dundee on Wednesday.

This has pushed them up to 6th in the Scottish Premiership, although they remain just five points above bottom of the table Inverness CT, thanks to the extremely tight nature of the bottom half of the league table.

Kris Doolan and Liam Lindsay have proven to be Partick’s saviours going forward. Doolan has netted in both of their recent wins and both players have five league goals to their names. Lindsay has netted three of his goals on home soil as well, and considering he comes in at a ridiculous 9/1 to score anytime, he looks the best value choice for our goalscorer predictions.

Partick have only kept a clean sheet in 15% of their league games this season though, and that leaves the door open for Kilmarnock’s star man. Souleymane Coulibaly has scored eight league goals this season and half of them have come away from home. He comes in at 15/8 to score anytime, so I think he’s another good choice for our goalscorer predictions.

Kilmarnock couldn’t manage to find the net last time out as they lost 4-0 at Hearts though. This extended their winless streak to five matches in all competitions and leaves them 10th in the Scottish Premiership.

Away from home they have won just one of their last nine games and five of them have ended in defeat. Considering Partick’s improved form over the last week or two I think this is their game to lose. Backing a Partick Win at 17/20 looks a good idea, and I’m going for a 2-1 correct score predictions at 15/2 as well.
