      PFC Oleksandria vs Wolfsburg Predictions

Wolfsburg occupy second place in Group I despite only managing to win one of their four matches so far but that victory arrived against Oleksandria in the pairs reverse fixture in September. Oleksnadria are yet to record a victory in Group I but have only lost once, as mentioned above, holding teams to draws in their other three games, so we are expecting a close and competitive ninety minutes between the pair.

All of the stats heading into Thursday’s match between Oleksandria and Wolfsburg point towards the pair playing out a draw and we have backed the game to end 0-0.

Hosts Oleksandria have drawn three of their four matches in group I whilst their guests have drawn have of their matches. Wolfsburg managed to beat their Ukrainian hosts 3-1 in the pairs’ reverse fixture but since then the Germans have failed to win and Oleksandria haven’t lost.

Oleksandria have only lost twice at home domestically this season, playing eight games in front of their own fans, while Wolfsburg have drawn two of their six games on the road in the Bundesliga. The Ukrainians score an average of 1.63 and concede an average of 1.13 goals at home this season, while Wolfsburg score an average of 1.33 on the road and concede 0.83, which is why we’re expecting a low-scoring affair this Thursday.

38% of the hosts’ home games in Ukraine have produced clean sheets and the visitors have kept clean sheets in half of their away games in the Bundesliga, adding more weight to our prediction for a 0-0 draw on Thursday. Wolfsburg have seen 33% of their away games end in draws, which is above the Bundesliga average of 23%, while have only lost 25% of their home games which is also below their league average of 39%.

We’re confident that Thursday’s match will end in a draw and we have predicted a final scoreline of 0-0. Both teams are in need of a win this week with just two group games remaining and neither of the two qualifying spots secured, but in a group that has produced a majority of stalemates so far we believe the most likely outcome on Thursday to be a draw as well.
