      Atalanta To Win To Nil

      Reason for tip

Pisa have scored only one goal in their ten home matches this season and they look unlikely to penetrate the Atalanta defence who have kept three successive clean sheets.

      Atalanta 2-0

      Reason for tip

Just one of Pisa’s home games has featured more than two goals, and with under 2.5 being a winning bet in Atalanta’s last five outings, a 2-0 away win looks a sensible correct-score option.

      Pisa vs Atalanta Predictions

      • Pisa have won just one Serie A match this season
      • Atalanta have won five of their last six league matches
      • Just one of Pisa’s ten home league games this season has featured more than two goals

Pisa have to improve up front

It doesn’t take a genius to work out what Pisa need to improve upon if they are to do enough to ensure their Serie A survival this season.

The new boys recorded their only victory to date when they beat Cremonese in November, but that is the only goal they have scored at home all season, and there looks little prospect that they will put that record right against Atalanta on Friday.

They have claimed just four points in the nine games since Idrissa Toure’s goal gave them that success and while they earned a 1-1 draw when these two teams met in Bergamo on the opening weekend, it is difficult to fancy their chances here.

      Atalanta finally in their stride

Atalanta look to be getting their act together after winning just two of their opening 12 games as seven draws in their first nine outings hindered their progress.

The only game they have not won in their last six in Serie A was a 1-0 defeat to leaders Inter, and that is the only goal they have conceded in their last five matches.

Pisa’s goalscoring record is so woeful that an Atalanta win to nil appeals and with all of the visitors’ last five games and nine of Pisa’s ten homes featuring fewer than three – the exception was last time out when they lost 3-0 to Como – a 2-0 win for the Bergamo boys is the correct-score recommendation.
