This game represents a huge test of MK Dons’ character. They faced the biggest game of their season last weekend and one of the biggest in the club’s short history as they hosted Rotherham in a relegation-six pointer. However from the 1st minute, when they conceded an early goal, to the last they were second best and sank to a humiliating 4-0 defeat on home soil. As a result they are 9 points from safety when a win would have narrowed the gap to just 3 and potentially been a huge momentum changer. MK Dons come into this game having lost 4 matches in a row and they will be on the very brink of relegation should they lose this one too.

Deepdale is a tough place to go looking for 3 points though. Preston finished below MK Dons in League One last season but have coped much better with the transition to life in the higher tier.
