Routine win for Rangers

Rangers entertain Dundee at Ibrox on Sunday but their attention may be elsewhere as title rivals Hearts and Celtic clash in the capital.

That game at Tynecastle could blow the title fight wide open and Rangers know a win on Sunday could be huge in terms of their own bid for a record 56th league crown, and they can at least ensure they don’t fall any further behind with a win and a clean sheet against the Dee.

Rangers picked up a 1-0 Europa League win over Ludogorets on Thursday to make it seven wins in a row, and a fourth straight clean sheet.

They face a Dundee side who have scored just five goals in 11 Premiership games on the road, drawing blanks in six of those trips, and who they beat 3-0 in a reverse fixture back in November.

Dundee have picked up of late, however, and they haven’t conceded more than twice in any game since a 3-1 loss to Aberdeen back in November. As such, a routine 2-0 win for the hosts is the correct score prediction.
