Another open game for Real

Sunday’s clash between Rayo Vallecano and Real Madrid at Campo de Futbol de Vallecas is unlikely to be a low-scoring affair. Eight of the visitors’ last ten games in the Primera Liga have produced three goals or more, and backing over 2.5 goals looks the best bet.

Real Madrid are top of the league, having won ten of their 11 games this season, while Rayo Vallecano are tenth with four wins, two draws and five defeats.

Rayo Vallecano have won three of their last four Primera Liga matches and beat CD Alaves 1-0 two weeks ago in their last home game. However, Real Madrid are tough opponents, unbeaten in nine of their last ten league matches.

Real Madrid kept up their recent pattern of games with over 2.5 goals in a 4-0 win against Valencia, restricting the visitors to one shot on target. They have won all ten of the matches in which they’ve scored first this season.

Real Madrid have taken part in plenty of high-scoring games this term. Five of their last seven Primera Liga road games have gone over 2.5 goals, with four of their five league away days this season having three or more goals.

A 2-1 away win for Real Madrid looks a decent correct-score bet. Both teams have scored in six of the last eight Primera Liga meetings between these sides, and Real were 2-1 winners against Rayo Vallecano last time out.
