Bayern Munich to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Bayern Munich are closing in on a 12th Bundesliga title in 13 years and they can secure their crown in style. The Bavarians have scored 90 Bundesliga goals this term and with 11 of their last 13 games in all competitions featuring at least three strikes, a high-scoring Bayern win seems likely.

Bayern Munich 4-0

Reason for tip

Bayern Munich’s last away match saw them run out 4-0 victors and, with an opportunity to seal the title, they could be similarly as dominant at the Red Bull Arena. Leipzig shipped five in the reverse fixture and may be in for their second 4-0 defeat in as many games.

RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich Predictions

  • Bayern Munich have lost just one of their last 17 Bundesliga matches, winning 13 times in that run
  • Leipzig have lost three of their last six matches, failing to keep a clean sheet in that sequence
  • 11 of Bayern’s last 13 matches went over 2.5 goals, with Munich scoring 33 times in those games

Bayern can regain crown in style

They say cream always rises to the top and, after surrendering their 11-year stranglehold on the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen last term, Bayern Munich need just one more point to regain their crown.

Vincent Kompany’s first season at the helm has been a resounding success, but they must overcome a potentially tricky clash at Leipzig if they are to wrap up the title this weekend.

However, their hosts are coming off the back of a shocking 4-0 thrashing at Frankfurt and their low confidence could open up the door for Bayern to win in style, something they have done frequently under Kompany.

Bavarians bound to run riot against luckless Leipzig

As of Wednesday, no side in Europe’s top five leagues has netted more goals than Bayern’s 90 and with Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise making up a frightening attacking unit, that should come as no surprise.

Just as Liverpool did in the Premier League last weekend, Bayern will want to land the title with a flourish and, facing a side who have gone six games without a clean sheet, they could very well do so.

Bayern won December’s reverse fixture 5-1 and a similar outcome looks likely. Leipzig have lost three of their last six games and may not have enough to stop Bayern, who have seen 11 of their last 13 matches go over 2.5 goals, running riot at the Red Bull Arena.
