Reading vs Fulham Betting Tips and Predictions

These two clubs look to be on the right track again after a messy episode earlier in the season when then Reading manager Steve Clarke nearly joined Fulham. Reading fans did take to that well and their form dipped and Clarke was dismissed soon afterwards in any case while Fulham would take several more weeks before finally appointing a permanent manager in Slavisa Jokanovic, not before they’d plummeted down the table.

Things have certainly turned out alright at Reading. They have Brian McDermott back in charge and his side have lost just once in 9 and have won all of their last 3 matches including an FA Cup win over West Brom. They have a Quarter Final with Crystal Palace to look forward to on Friday but have 2 Championship games prior to that and they are favourites to win this one.

Fulham’s revival has been less dramatic but wins over QPR and Charlton have helped put a 7 point cushion between them and the bottom 3. That said they are in 20th place so there isn’t a huge buffer of teams between themselves and the drop-zone. The clean sheet in their recent 3-0 win over bottom club Charlton was there only one in their last 24 games though and leaking goals remains a concern for the side with the league’s 3rd worst defensive record.

Reading scored 4 at the Valley last time out and were 3-1 winners over Premier League West Brom the weekend before so backing Reading to score over 1.5 goals at Evens looks very good here.
