It’s four games played and four games won so far for Real Madrid this season, three of them in La Liga where both teams have scored on each occasion, and the other being a 2-0 UEFA Super Cup defeat to Frankfurt.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have scored at least twice in each of those matches, while both teams have netted in six of their last ten league outings.

They are obviously exceptionally strong at the Bernabeu, where they have scored in 12 of their last 15 matches, suffering just one defeat, to Barcelona, in the process.

Real Betis came here on the final day of the 2021/22 campaign and picked up a 0-0 draw, although Real Madrid made a number of changes for that game as they rested players ahead of the Champions League final.

That is the only time Manuel Pellegrini’s side have failed to score in six La Liga outings, with the other five ending in victory, so this is sure to be a stern test for both defences.

Betis have conceded just the once this season, but that did come in their only other away game, a 2-1 win at Mallorca on match day two.
