      AFC Bournemouth to Win

      Reason for tip

Bournemouth are still adjusting to new boss Marco Rose’s methods, but he has helped his team enjoy a four-match unbeaten run. The Cherries have only won one of those matches, though, but they face a Sociedad side that have won one in seven at home.

      AFC Bournemouth 2-1

      Reason for tip

Sociedad have struggled at home of late and look vulnerable ahead of kick-off against a Cherries side that have secured draws against Everton, Newcastle and Brentford in recent weeks. The visitors have only kept one clean sheet, so are likely to concede, but Sociedad’s home form suggests they can get a result.

Real Sociedad vs AFC Bournemouth Predictions

      • Real Sociedad have won one of their last seven competitive home games
      • Bournemouth are unbeaten in four in all competitions, drawing three games during that time
      • The Cherries have only kept one clean sheet this season

Real Sociedad v AFC Bournemouth Predictions

Bournemouth will look to make an impact in their first ever European match when they take on La Liga outfit Real Sociedad on Thursday in the Europa League.

The Cherries finished sixth last season to book their spot in the competition under former boss Andoni Iraola, but they are now under the stewardship of Marco Rose.

Bournemouth lost their opening game of the season 2-1 to Manchester City, but they have since enjoyed a four-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

They beat Lincoln City 4-0 in the EFL Cup, while they have also secured draws against Everton, Newcastle United and Brentford.

Bournemouth have only kept one clean sheet, and the occasion of playing in Europe may get to them, so if the home side score, it should not come as a surprise.

However, Sociedad have really struggled in front of their fans of late, winning only one of their seven matches at Reale Arena.

Sociedad conceded 31 goals at home last year, which was the most of any team in La Liga and Bournemouth’s aggressive and intense style should help them start their European journey in style.
