Celtic vs Ferencvarosi TC Predictions

  • Ferencvaros have scored in their last 12 competitive games in all competitions.
  • Both teams have netted in nine of those matches, including each of their last four and both of the Hungarians’ Group G starts so far.
  • Celtic have scored in six of their last eight outings, bagging 14 goals in total over that period.

Both sides chasing the win on Matchday 3

Celtic and Ferencvaros both need a win this week to keep hopes of qualifying for the last 16 alive, and their chase for three points should lead to an open contest at Parkhead.

Both sides were defeated in their opening two Group G matches, and you feel that one will need to claim maximum points from their two fixtures against each other to stand a chance of catching either Real Betis or Bayer Leverkusen.

Celtic should still have a near capacity Parkhead behind them here despite the unusual kick-off time due to this week’s COP26 Conference in Glasgow, and The Bhoys are favourites at around 8/13 to land the spoils.

Those odds look far too short though considering Celtic have lost five of their last ten (W4, D1) in all competitions and were turned over by the Hungarian champions here in last season’s UEFA Champions League Qualifying.

Ferencvaros are also performing better domestically after six wins from seven this term, and they were only narrowly beaten 2-1 by Bayer Leverkusen in contrast to Celtic who were smashed 4-0 by the Germans in Glasgow last time out.

BTTS the best bet at Celtic Park

Overall, the 1X2 market is best avoided and both teams to score looks a more appealing alternative. Both teams have struck in nine of the visitors’ last dozen games, including each of their last four and both of their outings in Group G.

With Celtic notching 14 goals in their last eight matches on all fronts, we can be fairly confident that both teams will have a say this Tuesday, particularly as the sides’ plight is likely to influence at attacking affair.

Correct score backers are therefore encouraged to seek a higher scoring outcome, and with Ferencvaros fancied to take a point from Celtic Park, we’re forecasting a 2-2 draw.
