Another step forward for Sociedad

Real Sociedad are tipped to land a fifth consecutive La Liga home win this Saturday, though serial entertainers Levante can get themselves on the scoresheet at Anoeta.

After going down 4-2 at Barcelona on the opening weekend, Sociedad got themselves up and running here on Matchday 2 with a workmanlike 1-0 victory over newly promoted Rayo Vallecano, as Mikel Oyarzabal’s second half spot-kick extended Los Txuri-Urdin’s winning home streak to four matches.

Imanol Alguacil’s side should take another step forward this Saturday against a Levante outfit who were defeated here last term and have lost five of their last eight on the road, though it’s difficult to envisage the visitors not scoring.

Both teams have netted in Levante’s last six with Granotas bagging a dozen goals in that sequence, including three when taking a point at home to Real Madrid last time out. As such, it’s a Sociedad win and both teams to score for us in this one and 2-1 is our correct score prediction.
