RKC vs ADO Den Haag Predictions
RKC picked up their first point of the season away at fellow newly-promoted side Twente last weekend and will be looking to go one better on Sunday against Den Haag. The visitors are also winless after the opening three matches, losing each one of them, most recently going down at home to the other newly-promoted side Sparta Rotterdam.
The stats all suggest that we will be treated to at least three goals and should see both teams score when RKC entertain Den Haag on Sunday. Four of the last five meetings between these two clubs produced over 2.5 goals and both teams scored in three of the pairs’ last five encounters. The last time the two sides met at the Mandemakers Stadion, back in 2014, the game ended in a draw and both teams scored on that occasion.
The pair have been involved in a lot of games over the last month that have produced plenty of goals. In fact, just one of their last twelve matches combined has ended goalless, a friendly between Den Haag and Kortrijk. Three of RKC’s last four and four of Den Haag’s last five matches have seen both teams score and over 2.5 goals, including RKC’s last match which ended 3-3 and each of Den Haag’s opening three Eredivisie games.
The main reason we are backing a draw between the two clubs this weekend is that both teams are without a win in their opening three games of the new Eredivisie season. Neither side have kept a clean sheet so far this season and are highly unlikely to on Sunday, as both teams have poor defensive records. RKC have conceded eight goals in their opening three matches, while Den Haag have let in nine, which does at least suggest we will be in for an entertaining ninety minutes.
We’re confident that both teams will score and over 2.5 goals will be produced in Sunday’s match and have predicted a final scoreline of 2-2. Both sides are still searching for their first win of the season and have so far defended woefully home and away, which is why we’re backing goals to be scored in this game and for the pair to play out a 2-2 draw.
