Roma vs Hellas Verona Betting Tips

Roma’s ambitions to win the Serie A title are in danger. They’ve fallen seven points behind the league leaders, Napoli, and with Juventus playing red hot football in second place, there is a real danger that the five-horse race could get significantly opened up.

There’s just something not quite right with Roma right now. They’ve started 2016 by showing plenty of flashes of high quality football, but ultimately have finished with only a 3-3 draw with Chievo and a 1-1 tie with Milan, both of those games were played at home incidentally.

They won’t have cheerful visitors on Sunday. Hellas Verona are already staring down the barrel at Serie B football next season. They’re still looking for a first victory of the season, though even a win at this stage would probably be too late, they’re already 11 points adrift from safety.

Three Reasons for Betting Tips

1. Roma have to come good

This side is a good team with a good squad, they’re playing slightly better and we just can’t imagine that they’ll have to wait any longer for a win, we think they’ll manage it relatively comfortably as well.

2. Verona are not good

Hard to argue with that really. They’ve managed just four draws from 19 games, they haven’t scored a goal in 2016 and just don’t look likely to pick up any sort of win.

3. Roma possession control

Verona aren’t a possession team and it has always hurt them at home, even when they enjoyed success, it was an issue, we think it’ll damage their chances of being truly competitive here.
