Inter cannot afford another slow start

The top two in Serie A meet at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday and it could be the home side Roma who maintain their perfect start to the new campaign following the big showdown with champions Inter Milan.

The Wolves have built upon their fine end to the last campaign when they won their five closing encounters and the fact they have conceded just once in their opening four encounters.

They are plainly difficult to break down and they have the edge on the Scudetto holders, who have had to dig themselves out of a few holes lately.

Inter’s only defeat so far was a 2-1 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League, but their latest two league games have been stirring affairs.

They have been required to come back from two goals down against both Udinese and Napoli and while the levels of determination to do that have to be admired, they may struggle to do that against Roma if they make another slow start.

That makes the home side the value bet in this game, and with four of Inter’s last five away league games generating at least three goals, a 2-1 Roma success is the correct-score recommendation.
