Roma gunning for top spot

Roma have picked up a win and a defeat from their opening two Europa League group games, seeing both teams score in their 2-1 loss to Ludogorets before beating HJK 3-0.

Jose Mourinho’s side have been unusually suspect at the back throughout the campaign, keeping just one clean sheet in their last six and seeing both teams score in three of the last five.

They are strong at the other end though, netting in all bar two of their ten games, while they are unbeaten in 13 home Europa League outings, seven of which have seen both teams net.

Betis hoping to return to form

Real Betis sit top of this Europa League group after winning their opening two games against HJK (2-0) and Ludogorets (3-2), meaning both teams have scored in five of their last seven in this competition.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have generally been in superb form since the start of the campaign, picking up seven victories in nine outings, but they did lose 1-0 to Celta Vigo at the weekend.

That was the first time this season they have failed to score, with both teams netting four times, as they have done in two of their four away fixtures this campaign.
