Norwegians to Stay in Contention

Norway are fancied to follow-up last month’s resounding 4-0 win over Romania when the sides square off in Bucharest this weekend.

The Norwegians have to be seriously commended for their victory in October’s reverse fixture, in terms of both their performance and approach to the game.

Both sides had just suffered Euro 2020 qualification heartache several days earlier, but while the Romanians failed to turn up in Oslo, Norway came out and proved a point in emphatic fashion.

A subsequent 1-0 win over Northern Ireland kept Norway in contention to win League B-1 and they go into this Sunday’s clash level on points with Austria. Three points here should tee up a dramatic decider with the Austrians next week and we’re confident that Lars Lagerback’s side can get the job done.
