Stenhousemuir vs Hearts Predictions
- Hearts have scored 17 goals in their last six matches
- Stenhousemuir are unbeaten in ten matches this season
- Six of Hearts’ last nine matches have gone over 3.5 goals
Hearts can leave Stenny broken
Hearts went mighty close to winning the William Hill Premiership title last season, but ultimately it was a campaign which failed to yield a trophy.
The Jambos head to Stenhousemuir for a Scottish League Cup quarter-final tie on Friday night, and while Wouter Vrancken may look to rotate his side, the Belgian gaffer will be aware there is silverware on the line.
Hearts have started with four wins from five William Hill Premiership matches and the capital club secured qualification for the Conference League with a penalty shootout success over Rapid Vienna.
It is four league wins on the bounce for Vrancken’s men, who have downed Dundee, Hibernian, St Johnstone and Dundee United in the Scottish top flight this term.
Hearts were beaten at Aberdeen in their opening league fixture of the season, but the capital club won the shout count 21-11 at Pittodrie and they were unfortunate losers.
Inverness were hammered 6-2 in the previous round of the League Cup and Stenhousemuir could go the same way.
Stenny have avoided defeat in all of their ten matches this term and Marvin Bartley’s men beat Motherwell 1-0 at Ochilview in the previous round of this competition.
However, Stenhousemuir take a major step up against Hearts and backing over 3.5 could be the best play in this spot.
