Stockport are eight places above Rotherham in the table, with ten points separating the two teams. The hosts are 18th with two wins and four defeats, while Stockport, who sit tenth, have won three, drawn three and lost two.

Rotherham have been winners in four of their last six League One home games, but they are struggling overall, with four reverses in their last six games. Stockport have not won any of their last three away games.

Stockport ended Cardiff’s run of five straight League One victories last weekend, with a 1-1 draw. Cardiff grabbed a last-gasp equaliser and 75% of Stockport’s goals conceded have come in the second half of their games this season.

It would be no surprise to see Stockport get on the scoresheet. They have been dangerous going forward this term, scoring in 18 of their last 20 league games and netting two goals or more in five of their eight League One matches.

Both teams, however, are struggling defensively. Rotherham have failed to keep a clean sheet in 16 of their last 19 League One home games, while Stockport have yet to shut out their opponents on the road this season.

Both teams have scored in seven of Rotherham’s last nine League One home games, and Stockport have found the net in all eight of their league games this season.

With goals on the menu and a winner difficult to find this could be a high-scoring draw and 2-2 might be a value bet.
