San Lorenzo vs Toluca Betting Tips and Predictions

Toluca have made a very poor start to their league campaign in Mexico. They’ve picked up just 7 points from their opening 8 matches and find themselves just off the bottom. Their last 2 matches have resulted in a 5-1 defeat at Leon and a 1-0 loss at home to Pachuca. However they made a great start in the Copa Libertadores by beating Gremio 2-0 at home in their first group game a fortnight ago. It remains their only win in their last 8 matches though and they may find this a good deal tougher.

San Lorenzo won this competition in 2014 so they have real Libertadores pedigree although they failed to get out of the group last year. They’ve made a bright start to 2016 though. They crushed Boca Juniors 4-0 to win the Argentine Super Cup and are 2nd in the league having gone unbeaten in their opening 5 matches, winning 3 times. However in contrast to their opponents they made a poor start in the Libertadores, losing at LDU Quito.

They will be much happier back at sea level and in their home stadium here though and they will fancy their chances of racking up a first win against Toluca. The Mexicans have won just 1 of their last 10 away from home in all competitions and backing a strong San Lorenzo side to win at 4/6 looks a solid punt here.
