      Under 1.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Eight of the last ten Africa Cup of Nations finals have gone under 1.5 goals and this latest one should follow suit. These two teams have only conceded three goals between them in 12 games at this tournament and another low-scoring affair looks likely.

      Morocco 1-0

      Reason for tip

While both teams are rock-solid defensively, there is a possibility that Morocco have slightly more quality across the board and they could grind this result out. The Atlas Lions have won five of the last seven head-to-heads and are fancied to win 1-0.

      Brahim Diaz To Score Anytime

      Reason for tip

Brahim Diaz has been the top scorer in this tournament with five goals and the Real Madrid man could produce another moment of magic for his country to swing this final.

      Senegal vs Morocco Predictions

      • Morocco are unbeaten in 23 matches, winning 18 of them.
      • Eight of the last ten Africa Cup of Nations finals have gone under 1.5 goals
      • Brahim Diaz has five goals in six games at this tournament

      Cagey affair likely once more

The Africa Cup of Nations final will see the two highest ranked teams face off as hosts Morocco take on Senegal.

There was just a single goal in 210 minutes of semi-final action as the Lions of Teranga squeezed past Egypt thanks to a late Sadio Mane winner.

Morocco played out a nervy 0-0 draw with Nigeria before Yassine Bounou was once again the hero in their penalty shootout success.

These two teams have only conceded three goals in their 12 combined games at the tournament and historical precedent also points toward this being a low-scoring affair, especially given the stakes.

Eight of the last ten AFCON finals have produced one goal or fewer and this looks set to follow suit.

Both teams are extremely robust defensively, Senegal allowed just four shots, one of which was on target against Egypt while Morocco were even more miserly, allowing Nigeria just two attempts on goal, one of which was on target.

Expect a raucous atmosphere in Rabat but with Morocco chasing their first African title since 1976, an extremely cagey affair should follow.

The home side have won five of the last seven head-to-heads and with their support behind them, could edge a 1-0 success.

Brahim Diaz has been Morocco’s ace in the pack, leading the tournament with five goals, and he looks the likeliest scorer in this one.
