Imps can add to Shrewsbury woes

Michael Skubala’s Lincoln look a solid bet away to Shrewsbury on Thursday.

The hosts have lost six of their last eight League One games at Greenhous Meadow, including two straight defeats. Gareth Ainsworth’s team were beaten 4-1 by Wycombe and 2-1 against Blackpool in those home losses.

Lincoln are sixth in League One, 18 places and 19 points above rock-bottom Shrewsbury, with eight wins, seven draws and six defeats from their 20 games, while the hosts have lost 14 times and won just three.

Skubala’s Lincoln are in good form, having gone three games unbeaten in the league. They were 2-0 winners over Reading on Saturday and drew 2-2 at Huddersfield on their last away trip.

Shrewsbury ended a run of three straight defeats on Saturday with a 2-2 draw with Wigan but it could be a return to losing ways for the hosts.

Lincoln can secure a comfortable win but, with a clean sheet not guaranteed for the visitors, a 3-1 away win is the best option for correct-score bettors.

Shrewsbury have lost two of their last three League One matches by at least two goals and Lincoln have one clean sheet in their last seven league away fixtures.
