Sierra Leone have put in two spirited displays against two of the pre-tournament favourites as they secured draws with the Ivory Coast and Algeria. However, as a result, it means they’ve now emerged victorious in just one of their previous 15 international games. They can at least take confidence from their competitive head-to-head record against Equatorial Guinea where they’ve won four, drawn one and lost one across the last six meetings.

Equatorial Guinea are in an excellent position to make it three qualifications from three AFCON group stage appearances. They caused a huge upset last time out as they secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Algeria and they’ll hope the excellent result can act as a springboard as they come into this one.
