Spain to Win and Over 3.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Spain have won this pair’s last four meetings by an aggregate 21-3 scoreline and should prevail in another thriller on Saturday. Six of La Roja’s last seven games have featured at least four goals and with so much attacking talent in both camps, an exciting affair is expected.

Spain 4-1

Reason for tip

Thanks to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze, Georgia should have enough attacking firepower to score in the fourth straight head-to-head. However, the previous three meetings have seen them ship 14 goals and a repeat of the 4-1 hammering Spain inflicted on the Crusaders at Euro 2024 seems a likely outcome.

Spain vs Georgia Predictions

  • Spain won their opening two World Cup qualifiers 6-0 and 3-0
  • Georgia have scored 14 goals across their last four competitive games
  • The pair’s last four meetings have produced a total of 21 goals, with at least four being scored in each

Spain set for another comfortable victory

Unsurprisingly, Spain have made an excellent start to their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign. A 3-0 win in Bulgaria was followed by a 6-0 hammering of the second-strongest team in Group E, Turkey.

That most recent result spells trouble for Georgia, who also beat Bulgaria 3-0 but fell to a 3-2 home defeat against Turkey in their opener.

Of course, Georgia know all about Spain, having faced them twice in Euro 2024 qualifying and again in the last 16 of the same tournament last summer. However, each of those clashes ended in defeat and that familiar feeling is likely to return in Elche on Saturday.

Expect excitement in Elche

Spain, who also beat the Crusaders 4-0 in 2021, have won the last three meetings by an aggregate 14-3 scoreline, so another exciting encounter should be expected this weekend.

Injuries to Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal would leave most sides struggling for attacking replacements but Luis de la Fuente can still call upon Ferran Torres, Mikel Oyarzabal and Yeremy Pino to provide a threat while Mikel Merino, a hat-trick scorer against Turkey, can also bring goals from midfield.

In Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze Georgia have a sensational attack, too, and it would be no surprise to see them contribute to a match with over 3.5 goals for the fourth straight meeting, even if falling to another defeat.
