Stockport to struggle against fancied Trotters

Stockport finished strongly in League One last season but just missed out on automatic promotion before being beaten in the playoffs, and they should expect to be in the race to reach the Championship again.

However, the Hatters look short enough to open their season with a home victory, especially as their first visitors, Bolton, have a strong squad too.

Wanderers are around the same price as their hosts in the outright market for the third tier this season and also look capable of a top-six finish.

The former top-flight team took only eight points from their final 11 matches, but they had been in the playoff positions with only six games left and would expect to be in the mix again.
