Surging Stradbourg can see off Les Dogues

Strasbourg have been prolific in front of goal at home this season, scoring 11 goals in five games, and Liam Rosenior’s side look the best bet to take on Lille at Stade de la Meinau on Sunday.

Lille are three places above Strasbourg in the table, but both teams have won more games than they’ve lost this season. Lille sit fourth with six wins and three defeats, while Strasbourg are seventh with six wins and four losses.

It would be no surprise to see Strasbourg find the net, having scored in 15 consecutive games, including a 5-0 win over Angers last month. They have averaged 1.75 goals a game in their four Ligue 1 games against other top-half teams this season.

Strasbourg have been in fine form at home, winning six of their last eight Ligue 1 games at their own ground, including their last two.

The Strasbourg defence has been impressive at home this season, conceding just two goals in five games – an average of 0.40 goals per game. They have kept four clean sheets in their last five Ligue 1 matches at home.

Strasbourg may be able to edge out Lille in a close game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Eight of the last nine of Strasbourg’s Ligue 1 games have produced over 2.5 goals and four of their six victories this season have been by one goal.
