Hornets won’t sting Swans

Swansea should be backed to beat Watford at home in the Championship on Saturday. Alan Sheehan’s side have won six of their last eight league games at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea finished 11th last season with 61 points, four ahead of Watford, who ended the campaign in 14th. The hosts won 17 games, while the visitors finished with a record of 16 wins, nine draws and 21 losses.

Swansea beat Sheffield United 1-0 at home last weekend, with Ronald scoring the only goal of the game in the 66th minute. The betting suggested there would not be much between the teams, but Swansea edged to victory to the delight of those who backed them at 9/5. They didn’t allow Sheffield United a single shot on target.

While they won at home to QPR last weekend, Watford’s away form is a major concern, with six consecutive defeats on the road, including in their first outing of the season under new boss Paulo Pezzolano.

A narrow 1-0 victory for Swansea appeals as the correct score. Unders has been a winning bet in five of the last seven Championship games between these sides, and Swansea have won two of their last three at home by that scoreline.
