Torino vs Sassuolo Predictions

Torino looked to have a fourth straight league win in the big on Wednesday night, leading 2-1 at Roma going into the last five minutes of the game, but Francesco Totti had other ideas. Seconds after coming on as a substitute the 39-year-old hauled his side back on level terms before sealing a dramatic 3-2 victory from the penalty spot. Torino are far from the only side to have been on the wrong end of Totti’s brilliance and that defeat should not overshadow a fine run of form that has sent Giampiero Ventura’s side comfortably into mid-table in Serie A. Andrea Belotti is a constant goal threat and he has scored 11 times in the league this season, including five goals in his last seven games.

Despite there being a lot to like about Torino’s form, the long odds available on Sassuolo make it very tempting to try to find an angle to get on board with the visitors here. Just one win in their last six games has fatally damaged Sassuolo’s hopes of qualifying for Europe, but a strong last few games could yet see them finish in sixth spot, which would be a fantastic return. A 0-0 draw with Sampdoria last time out hinted at a back to basics approach following some poor results and there was enough in that battling performance to persuade us to go with Sassuolo for this game.

Sassuolo Double Chance at 8/11 with Betfair is a huge price considering Eusebio Di Francesco’s men are five places above Torino in the Serie A table, while we also like the 1-1 Draw at 11/2 with Betfair, repeating the scoreline from the last two meetings between the sides.
