Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Leeds are unbeaten in six league games, and they’ve scored 10 times across their previous four. The visitors have played out some high-scoring trips to West Ham, Man United, and Bournemouth across their last three on the road, and they visit a Spurs side who are awful at home. The hosts have shipped 18 goals across their last seven home games in all competitions.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

Tottenham have picked up a league-low 11 points at home, while Leeds have lost once in 13 away trips across all competitions, including a nine-game unbeaten run on the road heading into this contest. Leeds have scored twice in trips to West Ham, Man United, and Bournemouth across their last three on the road, two of which have finished 2-2.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Leeds Predictions

  • Tottenham have won a league-low 11 points at home this season
  • Leeds are unbeaten in nine away games across all competitions, suffering one defeat in 13 on the road
  • The visitors have scored 10 times across their last four Premier League games
  • Spurs have conceded 18 goals in their last seven home fixtures

Can Spurs build on away wins?

Tottenham moved out of the relegation zone thanks to back-to-back victories, beating Wolves 1-0 before last Sunday’s 2-1 victory at Aston Villa. However, they were Tottenham’s sixth and seventh away wins of the campaign, with points proving harder to come by at home.

Spurs have claimed a joint-low 11 points at home this season. That as many as Burnley, and two fewer than bottom side Wolves. Clashes with those two sides account for four of those home points, with Spurs suffering 10 defeats in 17 home league games across an awful campaign.

While Roberto De Zerbi appears to have lifted the mood at the club, his second home game in charge will be an acid test for the former Brighton boss.

Can Leeds kick on?

A defeat for West Ham on Sunday would ensure Leeds avoid relegation this season, but Daniel Farke’s side are already looking good for another top-flight campaign after a six-game unbeaten run in the league.

Leeds have scored 10 times across their last four matches, which have seen them win 2-1 at Manchester United and hold Champions League-chasing Bournemouth to a 2-2 away from home. While the Elland Road side have a poor record in the capital, they have little reason to fear Spurs.

This season has been redemptive for Farke, who looked under threat early on following two poor showings at this level with Norwich. His side have stepped up over the last couple of months, losing only one of their last 13 away trips, and going nine games without defeat on the road.

Improved hosts still look vulnerable

Tottenham have taken a step forward under De Zerbi, but they’ve conceded 18 goals across their last seven home matches, shipping at least twice in each of those.

The home support will still be feeling nervous heading into this contest, and this physical Leeds side are more than capable of causing problems for Spurs.

Tottenham have scored in 28 of their 35 league games this season, and they’ve netted five goals in three games under De Zerbi’s watch. Leeds have conceded 31 times in 17 away trips, so both teams to score appeals, along with a 2-2 draw.
