Udinese vs Fiorentina Predictions

• Fiorentina have lost only two of their last nine Serie A games
• Udinese are on a three-match losing run

La Viola may be tired after extended European outing

After losing two of the last three Conference League finals, Fiorentina will want to finally get over the line in UEFA’s tertiary competition this term. 

That dream nearly ended on Thursday, however, as they fell to a 3-0 home defeat to Jagiellonia before just about prevailing on aggregate after winning the extra-time period 2-1. 

Paolo Vanoli’s side have picked up slightly in Serie A, losing just two of their last seven games, but confidence will be low after Thursday’s nervy affair, especially given they led 3-0 in the tie before being defeated by the same scoreline in 90 minutes in the second leg, and that leaves them looking vulnerable for a trip to Udine. 

Struggling sides to put on a show

They would be more vulnerable had Udinese not lost to Lecce, Sassuolo and Bologna in their last three outings, though, so the hosts are equally hard to trust. 

Kosta Runjaic’s men have still been finding the net during their poor run, however, bagging in the defeats to Sassuolo and Lecce, so both teams to score could be the play in this clash between strugglers. 

The same bet has landed in eight of Fiorentina’s last 11 games, five of Udinese’s last eight matches and the reverse fixture, making a shade of odds-on good value for both teams to find the net.
