Valencia vs Sevilla Predictions

Valencia should be backed to beat Sevilla at the Mestalla on Sunday. The visitors have struggled at the back this season and that could prove costly.

Both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season, with Valencia 15th in the table having won three and lost six and Sevilla two places above them with five wins and eight defeats.

Sevilla dominated possession in their 2-0 home defeat to Real Betis last weekend, with 65.1% of the ball, and the score was goalless at half time. This was Sevilla’s fourth straight game that has been level at the break.

The visitors have looked vulnerable at the back. Sevilla have failed to keep a clean sheet in nine of their last 11 Primera Liga games.

Sevilla have lost five of their last six La Liga games and need to turn things around. They have also been defeated in their last three away matches.

Valencia have only lost one of their last seven Primera Liga head-to-heads with Sevilla.

They may be able to edge out Sevilla in a closely fought game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in ten of Sevilla’s 14 Primera Liga games this season, but they have also been 2-1 losers four times.
